Your click can add some impact to these videos and presentations. Take a moment to increase your Net Impact

Here is a link to a presentation I created for GlobalEdConference this November:

What is your next click going to be?
What is your next "LIKE"?

Where could you put your consciousness and where could you direct others to look?

What are you doing to curate your collection of "important stuff"?

Instructions for students who want to share interesting videos with other people.

I met three students
a pirate
a foodie
and an undersea survey in Australia

I'm inspired by their curiosity.  one of them expressed interest in "how do we make an impact?"

I believe that clicks can change how others perceive a video.  If 200 people can become regular clickers, who could recommend places to click, then we could draw attention to useful places online.

PROCEDURE:
1. Find a cool video (preferably under clicked, such as below 5000 clicks.)
2. Send the link to TheEbookman@gmail.com
3. Then send a text to  (954) 646 8246 with "Hey, Steve, check your email" and also give the link to the video.
4.  Give at least one sentence about WHY you are inspired by the video.   Your sentence could move me to include that link here on this blog.

I also met a violinst who can inspire 14 different emotions ONLY by playing notes.  No introduction, no words, "Imagine that you are on a desert and suddenly a forest starts growing at your feet."   Nothing but the music.   Can she move me?

A guy who "is never Wrong" now knows where to put loads of mp3s and videos onto a Mac Air that is somewhere on the first floor.
Really
Anyone could find the computer.
Nobody needs to
Doubt the possibility that
Anyone could find the right
Links on the first
Level.

Send me suggestions.

While we are having an impact on the Internet, let's be smart (recommended by Bob Finch)

What footprints do you leave behind?

Social Media

Social Media is a fun place to "jump in and leave some footprints."  But let's be careful...

Increase your Net Impact by answering questions.

How about this... an increase in KLOUT because I've been posting on Facebook and blogging...

Are you looking to increase your web presence?

Are you hoping to have a bigger "Net Impact"?

Then look for opportunities to answer questions on the Klout account...

Here's an example.

What is YourNetImpact.com? It's like your klout, it's your impact on the Internet.

Klout.com is here
What is your impact on the Internet?

One measure is called Klout.com.

Another way to measure your impact on the Internet is to count how many people you have
swayed,
informed,
urged to click on an obscure video (with fewer than 1,000 views) ...

Two years from now,
what will happen to Ken Robinson's video?
see some photos on Facebook

Will the people who saw
Robinson's TED talks also
know about a book
written by Raymond Hartjen?

Will any of those people
know about Sudbury schools?
What about Summerhill?

What else could you post
in your status box on your
Facebook page?

What additional account
could you subscribe to?

What places do you subscribe to?
Where do you go to get information?
What sites and youtube channels do you follow?
What is your next click?
What do you recommend?  (How about recommending this post to your friends and colleagues...?  We can use the hits.)

What is your net impact?
